I once noted someone saying “Once the pain is gone, innocence is lost..” or something that meant similar…. In response to that I would like to respond… That my dear friend, if “Innocence is lost, Life is lost…”
As we grow old, and forget the child in us, the innocence is lost. Probably this is the reason I make this statement… And that is what I mean.. Haven’t you observed that innocent children are innocent and hence they have got so much life in them…
OK I am supposed to be writing a movie review… The movie in question.. Jodhaa Akbar, is a love story. There might be controversies about facts of history… But, since I used to fail in history in my school time, the history might not interest me
What interests me more is a movie, which comes out to be a Love Story told in a nice and beautiful manner.
The movie makes you feel that patriotism, indian wealth, culture, family values, principles, dedication, commitment and most importantly “Love”, are so well in abundance in the movie that it just mesmerizes you.
When I watch a movie, I provide ample amount of freedom to the director’s creativity. I let him play with my mind & emotions.. After all that is how you can experience and feel what the director is actually trying to tell you
And that is why and how I enjoy each and every movie I watch
I was not able to understand or relate much to the first hour of the movie, as the level of urdu used was above my head, probably Mr. Gowariker should have used “Subtitles” for the sake of me
But for me the real movie started after 1 hour when the interest arose… It was literally boring for the first hour…
But then, the immense nature of the story in being told, the characters persona Akbar the great, probably demanded something huge.. as also stated by Mr. Gowariker.
I loved the songs a lot…! And the most loving song is attached in the post too. If you check out the chemistry between the characters, you can feel the romance, the love in the songs and all the feelings the movie is supposed to project…
You get to understand what an ideal Indian woman can be like, who is filled with so much values, principles, and can be so loving to you that she can make you a better person. That is what Jodhaa did to Akbar
as the movie shows.
The most spectacular aspect about the movie is the song on akbar, “Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah” when the king was given the title of “Akbar the great” by his people [praja].. Lots of people, a spectacular song, awesome thumping music
The most romantic scene was when Akbar ji proposes to Jodhaa after their marriage
asking her if she loves him or not… You should go watch the movie if you want to fall in love again
It also shows what nice and lively this king was, who thought about the welfare of his people, the common man and development of India as a whole.
Song: In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein….
In lamhon ke daaman mein
Pakiza se riste hain
Koi kalma mohabat ka
Dohrate farishte hainKhamosh si hai zameeen hairaan sa falak hai
Ek noor hi noor sa abb aasmaan talak hai
Nagmein hi nagmein hai jagti soti fizaon mein
Husn hai sari adaon mein
Ishq hai jaise hawaon meinKaise yeh ishq hai
Kaisa yeh khwaab hai
Kaise jazbaat ka Umda sailab haiKaise yeh ishq hai
Kaisa yeh khwaab hai
Kaise jazbaat ka Umda sailab haiDin badle raatein badli
Jeene ke andaaz hi badle hainIn lamhon ke daaman mein
Pakiza se riste hain
Koi kalma mohabat ka
Dohrate farishte hainSamay ne yeh kya kiya
Badal di hai kaya
Tumhein mene paa liye
Mujhe tumne payaMile dekho aise hai hum
ke do sur ho jaise madham
koi jyada na koi kaam
Kise aag mein Ke prem aag mein
Jalte dono hi the tan bhi maan bhi
Maan bhi hai tan bhiMere khwaabon ke is Gulistaan mein
Tumse hi tum bahar chai hai
Phoolon mein rang nahi the lekin
Dil mein khusboon tumhi se aai haiKyon hai yeh arzoo
Kyon hai yeh zustzu
Kyon dil bechain hai
Kyon dil betaab haiDin badle raatein badli baatien badli
Jeene ke andaaz hi badle hainIn lamhon ke daaman mein
Pakiza se riste hain
Koi kalma mohabat ka
Dohrate farishte hainNagmein hi nagmein hai jagti soti fizaon mein
Husn hai sari adaon mein
Ishq hai jaise hawaon mein
