Ajay Kumar is a Computing graduate who believes in “free” (free as in freedom) culture in all aspects of life. He also is passionate about social change activities that aspire to bring awareness among people.
He is a fan and supporter of the “Humanitarian FOSS” concept & currently his time is spent in volunteering for the Sahana project, where he leads community outreach activities for Sahana & also volunteers as a developer. He is a part of the core team of developers of both Sahana & SahanaPy project.
He has volunteered in helping IBM India with Sahana deployments in India during Bihar floods 2008 & constantly responds to Sahana deployments in India helping to deploy and translate Sahana to local languages.
He is back after the “head-down” mode and now is looking for work/employment!
His interests areas in computing are Web Applications, Mobile Applications development . He has various played roles of leadership at his college including Student Team Leader of the college’s ERP team responsible for managing the website, admission applications & the email infrastructure, and Networking Associate for the Cisco Networking Academy Program where he assisted the faculties imparting CCNA curriculum to students.
