- a computing graduate with interest in application of ICTs for social benefit.
- an inquisitive mind.
Work at present:
- I currently serve as Manager of ICT Operations for Grameen Development Services, India working on application of ICTs in their programmes.
- Apart from other tasks, I am currently working on helping a completely Women Owned Primary Producer Company(first in state) in Jawaja, Rajasthan, that cultivates Aloe Vera, to manage their business operations using the software I am building.
- Planning a community based Early Warning System for Floods in our Pharenda, Maharajganj project location in Uttar Pradesh under the DRR Programme.
- I am a part of the organisation’s Humanitarian Response Team.
I am also:
- co-founder and current lead of “Free Minds of India” formed in 2006 with initiatives like Power of Youth & VoteIndia.in. FMI is a group of committed volunteers working on empowering social change in India initiated by youth’s action.
- a voluntary contributor to the Sahana Software Foundation’s projects since May 2008.
In the past I have:
- been consulting small businesses on IT infrastructure, networking & software for over 5 years.
- worked on community building & outreach activities for Sahana in India.
- volunteered in helping IBM India with Sahana deployment in India during Bihar floods 2008.
- helped deploy and translate Sahana to local languages in India as their Indic Localisation Lead.
- worked as a Student developer for SahanaPy as a part of the Google Summer of Code 2009 developing the Logistics Management System.
- worked as a Student developer for Sahana as a part of the Google Summer of Code 2008 adding SMS/Messaging Module related functionality.
